Job Description: As a Senior Electrical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our project management team, responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with electrical construction projects. You will collaborate closely with our clients, project managers, and engineering teams to develop detailed and competitive project bids. Your expertise will ensure the successful execution of projects, meeting deadlines, and exceeding client expectations.
Responsibilities:
Review of all project documents, ITB’s, specifications, and drawings to accurately determine the scope of work and project requirements, and if it fits our company.
Prepare detailed and competitive cost estimates for electrical construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
Utilize Accubid estimating software and other methods required to develop accurate and efficient estimates.
Collaborate with the Customer, the project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure all project requirements are accounted for in the estimates.
Analyze project risks and opportunities to develop appropriate contingencies and value engineering solutions.
Present estimates to clients and participate in negotiations to win the best projects.
Provide ongoing support to project teams throughout the project lifecycle, including change order management and cost tracking.
Requirements:
High School Diploma, GED, or Trade School certificate required.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical estimating for commercial, industrial, or institutional construction projects. Minimum of 10 Years in the trade.
Proficiency in electrical construction practices, codes, and regulations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with any of the team members.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
Proficiency in Accubid with Live Count, Supplier Link, Database Manager and Accubid Change Order preferred, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
