Your daily duties and responsibilities in this role will generally include:
o Install network solutions in a variety of commercial environments.
o Install, terminate, test, troubleshoot all category copper cable and fiber.
o Install support structures (ladders, racks, j-hooks)
o Occasional installation of A/V and Security
Job Requirements
Must be competent in this field, self-motivated, and dependable. Must be a team player who is able to exercise discretion, good judgement and maintain confidentiality. Must be able to safely climb up ladders, get into small confined spaces, and lift 50+ pounds.
Specific qualifications for the role include:
3+ years’ experience in the telecom industry & fiber optic experience
Proficient with the proper use of trade hand and power tools
Ability to read & interpret blueprints/schematics
Ownership of basic telecom tools & safety wear
Proficient with the installation of racking and framing equipment
Possess a comprehensive knowledge of fiber-optic, coax and network cable
Ability to see colors and have knowledge of color codes
Must have a valid driver’s license
