I’m looking for a technician. A, B, or C level; but if you say you’re an A tech, you better be an A tech. If you’re a B tech, you better be a B tech and if you’re a C tech, don’t tell me you’re a B or A tech.
I am absolutely tired of finding “technicians” who claim to be B techs that shouldn’t be doing more than changing oil. “A” techs that may be able to flag 45 hours because they can throw parts but can’t diagnose an evap fault or have no idea how to read fuel trims nor understand the difference between barometric pressure while an engine is running compared to MAP sensor readings OR what those numbers mean and how they affect the engine. I’m not looking for someone who would take a grinder to a frame because they can’t get a control arm bolt to break free or someone who would take an air hammer to an exhaust manifold on a 4runner. I’m not looking for an A tech to slam a clutch in and then try to sell a transmission because they forgot to put the throw out bearing in because they were going too fast and not paying attention.
Being able to flag 45 hours does not make you an A tech if you can't diagnose your own vehicles, are unwilling to ask for help and chuck parts because you don't know what you're doing. Helping your dad in the garage does not make you a B tech. I am looking for a true technician.
I’m tired of hiring idiots; overpaying the under experienced while paying for all their BIG mistakes in the meantime.
A, B or C tech; I’m looking for any of the above. Obviously, the more someone can stand on their own the better but if you can’t, don’t pretend that you can. I need someone who knows where their skill level is at, is willing to learn if they can’t stand on their own and has no problem asking questions if they aren’t sure. Humility and humbleness are respected and appreciated

The best candidates will have:
5 years or more of experience working in an automotive shop
ASE certification(s) or be willing and able to pass ASE tests
Their own set of hand and power tools (specialty and scan tools are supplied by the shop)
A positive attitude, a willingness to learn and an understanding that we are a team and we all depend on each other to succeed and grow. Our customers are are first priority, integrity is a must.
Compensation plan will vary based on experience and current certifications. If you are the one we are looking for, YOU WILL BE COMPENSATED WELL.
