Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of vehicles and equipment. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical knowledge and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements
- Diagnose mechanical issues and provide appropriate solutions
- Repair and replace faulty components, such as brakes, engines, and transmissions
- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and ensure vehicles meet safety standards
- Use power tools and specialized equipment to complete repairs
- Test drive vehicles to verify repairs and ensure proper functioning
- Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Mechanic or similar role
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Familiarity with electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Familiar with multiple makes and models of vehicles, preferred to have make-certified mechanics.
Skills:
- Alignment of wheels and suspension components
- Service technician experience in automotive or related industry
- Soldering skills for electrical connections
- Proficiency in using power tools for repairs
- Knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance
- Tire service experience, including mounting, balancing, and repair
- General equipment repair skills
