I am seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to work as a part-time Administrative Assistant through early June for 10-20 hours/week. I am an independent historian writing a book.
The work entails:
1) establishing, maintaining, and updating a physical and digital filing system filing system
2) conducting research on-line and by phone
3) making appointments, travel arrangements & reservations
4) maintaining a calendar and task schedule
5) preparing and mailing materials
6) running errands
7) tracking expenses
8) resolving basic technical issues (e.g., I needed help posting this job listing!)
The ideal candidate posseses:
- Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
- Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new software programs
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional phone etiquette
Days and hours are flexible. You will be working alongside me at my home office.
