Crown Seating (www.crownseating.com) is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated upholsterer to join our team. Crown Seating manufactures stools and chairs for the dental, veterinary and music industries. As an upholsterer, you will be trained in furniture upholstery, learning to repair, restore, and create high-quality upholstered items. Key Responsibilities:
Learn to sew, staple, and tack fabric to furniture frames.
Prepare and cut fabric, foam, and other materials for upholstery projects.
Assist in the removal of old upholstery and fabric from furniture items.
Follow company procedures for quality control and safety standards.
Assist with maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines.
Communicate effectively with the production manager and team members.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of hand tools and air staplers.
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Physical stamina to lift and move furniture parts and materials.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Willingness to learn and grow in the trade.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Previous experience in a related field (such as carpentry or sewing) is a plus but not required.
