Job Title: Heat Treat Technician

Location: Arvada, Colorado

Job Type: Full Time

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8 hours/day, daytime

Wages: $18-$20/Hr.

Job Summary:

We are currently looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Heat Treating and Metal Finishing Technician to join our manufacturing team. This dual-role position involves performing both heat treatment of metal parts and finishing of metal parts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and monitoring heat treatment equipment to harden and temper metal components according to specifications. This role is also responsible for performing metal surface treatments and titrations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the quality and durability of our manufactured parts.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up, operate and monitor heat treating equipment (atmosphere furnaces & tempering ovens).

Perform metal finishing operations.

Follow precise process instructions to achieve required hardness, durability, and surface finishes.

Inspect parts for proper treatment using measuring tools and hardness testers.

Maintain process records, track part movement, and ensure traceability.

Perform minor maintenance and cleanliness of assigned equipment and workstations.

Adhere to all company safety protocols and quality standards.

Carefully load and unload parts into heat treat fixtures or baskets.

Maintain accurate records of processing times, temperatures, and results.

Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.

Record and adjust chemical solutions based on titration results to ensure proper coating performance.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED preferred.

1+ years of experience in heat treating, metal finishing, or related manufacturing work preferred.

Ability to interpret work orders, process specifications, and technical instructions.

Familiarity with hardness testing (Rockwell).

Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle repetitive tasks efficiently.

Must work well with others and communicate effectively in a team setting.

Must have reliable transportation.

Must be able to lift 35 lbs. regularly.
