Small law firm practicing law in the fields of medical malpractice, birth injury, personal injury, premises liability, nursing home negligence, and serious motor vehicle accidents has immediate opening for experienced litigation paralegal. Applicants must be highly organized, pay meticulous attention to detail, be self-motivated and able to work as part of a team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Docketing litigation deadlines
Case Management, all aspects
Schedule appointments, depositions, and meetings with clients, witnesses, experts
File pleadings electronically in both the state and federal court filing systems
Responsible for all aspects of Discovery
Prepare disclosure documents for production
Draft Subpoenas, Entries of Appearance, Notices of Deposition, Scheduling Orders, Pretrial Orders, and rule-based motions
Send out Medical Request Letters, organize medical records, review and prepare same for
production
All aspects of trial preparation including exhibits and witnesses
Conduct research, investigations, and background checks for civil and criminal cases as needed

Benefits- Base salary ranging from $45,000 to $65,000 to start depending on experience with potential for bonuses; health insurance; life insurance; IRA after 1 year; paid vacation after 1 year; paid holidays; paid parking.
Job Type: Full-time, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
