RIO, LLC is HIRING - MECHANIC/YARD LEAD
MUST HAVE CURRENT DRIVERS LICENSE and GOOD DRIVING RECORD
MECHANIC routine maintenance for small equipment, Diesel & Gas trucks, John Deere & CAT Excavators, Backhoes & Loaders.
- Must be willing to go to job sites and perform duties.
- Small equipment includes water wagons, trailers, cut-off saws, compressors, etc
- Checking Fluids and Oil changes on Trucks/various equipment.
- Keeping the Equipment, Haul Truck &Trailer clean and well maintained.
- Record Keeping on all trucks/equipment
CDL Driver needed to move small construction equipment from yard to Job Sites. Must be able to drive truck with trailer attached.
- Moving John Deere Backhoes and smaller construction equipment to and from yard/job sites.
- Loading the machines yourself, training for this available.
- Loading/Unloading materials/suppliers, and small equipment.
Parts/Fuel Runner:
- Deliver Fuel to crews, pick up and deliver parts to the job sites.
- Fueling Machines at the job.
- Jobs are located around Denver metro. Truck will be provided.
- Loading/Unloading materials/suppliers, and small equipment.
- Pulling a trailer
Inventory of Shop/Yard:
Mechanic Shop is located in Hudson, CO. This will be where you'll work from. Duties for the shop include:
- Cleaning/maintenance of the shop tools, parts, etc.
- Cleaning/maintenance of equipment/materials yard
- Cleaning/maintenance of bathroom and kitchen
- Trash placed in dumpster
- Metal recycled as needed
- Mowing/weeding as needed
- Keeping the Equipment, Haul Truck and Trailer clean and well maintained.
- Checking Fluids and Oil changes on Trucks and various equipment.
- Inventory of Shop/Yard
To be considered for this position you must:
- Be a self starter and self-motivated. You'll go over the days duties each morning with supervisor but then be on your own to complete the tasks and change direction as needed.
- Meet a standard of mechanic competence. DO NOT apply if you do not have experience and/or expertise working on gas and diesel trucks/equipment.
- A great communicator. You'll need to work with foremen from the crews, work with operators on the crews, build a relationship with CAT and John Deere parts suppliers, along with many other people that work on and with our team.
- Use the CAT app on laptop to diagnose issues with equipment in the field.
- Get things done on a timely basis, keep caught up on all small and large equipment routine maintenance, advise on any concerns you see.
- Look for ways to improve processes related to your daily tasks and your value as the Mechanic/Yard Lead.
- SPEAK ENGLISH/HABLA INGLES, BILINGUAL - this is a HUGE benefit but not required.
