Seeking a reliable maintenance employee to assist with handyman/maintenance tasks around a condominium complex in SW Denver. You would be the working under a Lead Maintenance Professional, supervised by the community's Board of Directors. This is a mostly outdoor job, year-round, up to 40 hours per week. Hours are typically 8-4, with a lunch break, but there is some opportunity for flexibility. Examples of typical job tasks include things like:
Clearing leaves with a leaf blower
Attending to dog waste stations
Picking up trash
Breaking down large items so they fit in the dumpsters
Assisting Lead Maintenance tech with minor construction projects
Light landscaping (weeding, watering, planting flower as directed)
Snow shoveling in winter
Painting rails, fences, etc.
Anything else our team may need
You should be:
Prepared for all-seasons outdoor work
Capable of lifting at least 50 pounds
Able to follow directions and work with others
Friendly
Able to pass a background check (particular focus on community safety/assaultyou may be going inside of homeowner-owned units for minor repairs)
Somewhat familiar with basic repairs and equipment (i.e., know how to use power tools safely)
Ready to learn more
Payment is minimum wage for Denver (currently $18.81), with some sick leave and vacation days earned over time. This is an otherwise non-benefitted positionthere are no healthcare benefits, no insurance benefits, no retirement benefits. Employers are flexible with regard to unpaid time off (for example, vacations).
