Titan Vans is seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Lead Automotive Technician to run point and execute high-quality service work on vans. We are looking for someone that is well suited to building the department into a leader in camper van service. As a Lead Technician, you will report directly to your manager, playing a key role in upholding safety standards, ensuring high-quality results, and mentoring junior & current technicians. This position requires a proactive, entrepreneurial, solution-oriented professional with a strong technical background. It requires a commitment to safety, and dedication to quality assurance. Responsibilities
Limited customer service and interface
Documentation of work orders
Maintaining a safe and organized work environment
Adhering to safety protocols
Meeting daily cleanliness and organization goals
Perform and oversee suspension upgrades, bolt-ons, oil changes, alignments, and other essential services
Act as a mentor to new & current technicians, providing guidance and sharing expertise to elevate team skills levels and maintain quality standards
Perform routine quality control (QC) checks on all completed service jobs, ensuring work meets Titan Vans’ standards
Explain diagnoses, repairs and modifications to clients, offering guidance and expert recommendations
Serve as the main point of contact for other automotive service technicians on the floor
Maintain a strong line of communication with your manager
Excellent communication skills and willingness to work in a team environment
Ensuring all critical parts are checked and tested
Qualifications
3 – 5 years in automotive mechanics and/or van conversion industry
Any prior management experience preferred
Skilled with suspension repairs and upgrades, brake upgrades and service, alignments, wheels/tires, oil changes, Service A and B completions.
Proficient with power tools and ability to navigate a busy shop environment with safety and precision.
Comfortable taking the lead on installations and quality control checks
Willingness to mentor junior technicians
Willingness to maintain a clean and organized workspace including, but not limited to, tool carts, walkways, shop floor, storage racks, etc.
