Purpose of Position: Provide facilities support to Humane Colorado properties and associated assets in the areas of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, grounds maintenance and other miscellaneous facilities support.

Responsibilities

Complete daily work orders as assigned.

Ensure safety and cleanliness of work environment.

Assist with maintaining the electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and environmental systems.

Care for grounds including snow removal, mowing grass, and maintenance of landscaping.

Perform carpentry projects, painting, and repairing interior and exterior of buildings.

Assist Humane Colorado staff with event set-up, hanging signage, and moving equipment and furniture.

Maintain Humane Colorado equipment used for the grounds and building maintenance to ensure proper functioning and safety for use.

Coordinate and Schedule Community Service worker tasks as needed

Monitor Receiving Garage and Restock Shelving

Monitor and Restock Supply Closets

Perform emergency maintenance as required.

Complete other duties as assigned

Compensation: $20.80 - $24.00 per hour (starting pay commensurate with market, experience, and equity)

Schedule: 40 hours/week, Four 10-hour shifts, Sunday - Wednesday, some on-call required

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Ability to operate heavy equipment

Ability to wear respirator

Required

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Work Experience: One year of experience in general maintenance of multiple facilities including basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, welding, and grounds maintenance

Special Training, Certification or Licensure: Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record

Desired

Vocational/technical school diploma

Experience maintaining health care medical equipment

Experience driving vehicles with trailers
