I am a quadriplegic seeking one (or more) caregivers) to help with personal care in my home. Tasks include range of motion, hygiene, catheter care, transfer/positioning, exercise, and minor housekeeping. Training is provided. Experience with home care and/or quadriplegics is preferred, but not necessarily required.
I provide part-time positions for my caregiving staff. At the moment, I am seeking someone to fill weekend morning shifts, see the shifts below.
Saturday and Sunday mornings, 8 AM-11 AM
Total: 6.0 hours weekly
Desired qualities:
Some strength for slide board transfers (no lifting needed) and repositioning
Reliability is an absolute must-have
An ability to fill-in for weekday morning shifts on occasion (6:30 AM – 8 AM)
My spinal cord injury is C4/5 level, so I have some arm mobility but no finger function. I can brush teeth, use a fork, and use a computer. Due to my lack of strength, I need help with transferring, positioning, and the other tasks mentioned above.
This is a great opportunity for:
-Students in medicine (nursing school, etc.) seeking hands-on experience.
-Current employees in medical fields looking for consistent, part-time work outside of regular business hours.
-Anyone with prior medical experience who left the workforce, but would appreciate something part-time.
I would love to find someone who wants this as a long-term position.
Job perks!
-Consistent schedule, part-time hours, focused attention on one client
-$100 signing bonus (paid after 90 days of employment) and biannual bonuses
The position starts at $20/hour. After 90 days of employment, the pay rate bumps to $25/hour.
If you’re interested, please send me your resume and any questions. We can clear up any of our questions by email, and then set up an interview if it seems like a good fit. I look forward to hearing from you!
