Cottonwood is looking for a respite provider that will either provide services in their home or in the home where the individual resides. The current provider is looking for someone to provide services once a month, preferably Sundays, for about 6 hours and about once a year for up to 2 weeks (this respite would be provided in the respite provider's home). The home would need to be fully ADA accessible as the individual utilizes both a walker and wheelchair.
About the Individual:
- N.H. is a 35-year-old male with intellectual/developmental disabilities. He has no alone time, is non-verbal, and also has high medical needs.
- He can answer simple yes/no questions, but his primary mode of communication is through gestures.
- N.H. does sometimes present with behavioral needs including: increased vocalization, rapid hand movements, and quick upper body movements.
- Some medical needs include but are not limited to: Catheter, G-Tube, EpiPen, Seizure Protocol, VP Shunt
About the Ideal Provider:
- Valid driver's license required.
- Previous host home experience is preferred but not required.
- Your home must be wheelchair accessible/fully ADA compliant.
- Comfortable with hands-on care such as hygiene, ADLs, and medical care.
- Familiarity with the IDD population and behavioral support is preferred but not required.
Preferred location(s) include: Englewood, Littleton, Denver, as well as Jefferson, Arapahoe, or Douglas Counties.
Contract Rate: Cottonwood's suggested daily respite rate for this individual's support level is $200. This can be negotiated with the individual's current provider.
