This position is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of quality related policies, protocols, practices, and programs and is accountable for the daily administration of the quality program including reporting of quality and patient safety metrics, regulatory compliance, and education and training on best practices. This includes oversight of the Peer Learning Program, supporting the quality committee and its initiatives, participation in the US Radiology Center for Quality committee, and collaboration with other US Radiology portfolio companies. Must be familiar with all service and clinical aspects of radiology. A wide degree of knowledge, creativity and latitude is expected.

This full-time position is onsite in Golden, Colorado. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, during normal business hours (7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. MT). Quarterly meetings outside of regular hours are required. Reliable transportation and a clean motor vehicle record (MVR) are required, as this role involves travel within the Denver area. This position may transition to a hybrid schedule after completing the probation period and training.

Essential Functions:

- Oversees the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) Program to include, but not limited to, the development of process to obtain, store, and share FDA required documentation internally, with partner programs and contracted facilities.

- Responsible for the supervision of activities related to the peer review process, including data analysis and coordination with strategic objectives.

- Serves as a liaison between Diversified Radiology and our contracted facilities to provide necessary documentation to meet local Quality program and regulatory needs such as Joint Commission, ACR, Peer Review, complication management and hospital OPEE and FPPE reporting.

- Oversees non-billing related compliance requests and works with corporate compliance, as assigned.

- Ensures compliance and maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality codes and standards.- Works closely with and supports the Quality Chair, including coordinating quarterly Committee meetings.

- Supports activities related to the safe performance of radiology exams and procedures.

- Proactively communicates with staff and keeps them informed of quality initiatives on a regular basis or as needed. Encourages discussions so that feedback and any concerns needing clarification or resolution are addressed.

- Develops, updates, and effectively utilizes department, service line, or company policies, as needed.

- Assists in developing protocols, improving efficiency, productivity, profitability, patient care and service to referring physicians and/or facilities.

- Develop, implement, and monitor quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with group Quality Chair, President, Radiologists, and Quality Committee.

- Actively participating in US Radiology Center for Quality initiatives to promote quality and safety at a national level.

- Collaborate with Quality Chair to organize study data for presentation to Clinical Governance Board, Operations Committee, Quality Committee, medical directors, medical staff, and hospital administration

- Keeps leadership informed of significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and actions being taken to improve the situation.

- Maintain a strong working relationship with affiliated hospital system's quality and risk systems.

- Assumes other duties as assigned by administrative leadership.

Education/Experience:

-A Bachelor’s in Health Care Administration or a closely related field is preferred.

-A Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality “CPHQ” Certification is highly preferred.

-A minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in Quality Improvement in a healthcare setting, preferably in radiology or medical practice.

-Any of the following Certifications are required: ARRT, CPHQ, CMQ/OE Prior experience in staff management and collaboration with physicians to drive safety and quality improvements required.

-Must have a clean MVR, reliable transportation, live within driving distance of the Corporate Office located in Golden Colorado, and be willing to travel around the Denver Metro area using own transportation, and out of state if needed.

Knowledge/Skill/Abilities:

-The ability to multitask and prioritize needs, with a flexible work schedule required

-Must have initiative and the ability to work independently while building positive relationships

-Exceptional written and oral communication skills

-Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills

-Knowledge of healthcare quality improvement concepts and best practices

-Knowledge of radiology clinical and administrative, concepts, practices, and procedures

-Knowledge of data collection and analytics

-Ability to synthesize information and data

-Critical thinking and advanced analytical skill

-Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with physicians and leadership to develop and monitor quality program

-Advanced computer skills in Word, Excel and database management

Environmental/Working Conditions:

-Combination of office and offsite meetings, frequent contact with physicians, staff and public.

Physical/ Mental Demands

-Primarily sitting, travel up to 25%, and lifting up to 25 lbs.

$59,000 - $60,000 a year

Salary contingent on experience.
