The Universal breakfast and lunch restaurant is looking for a prep cook to join our team. This position will start with one day a week, specifically Mondays, but will increase as trained and the summer picks up. This is the perfect job for someone looking to pick up 1-3 extra shifts in the mornings. Shift starts approx 7am and ends approx 12 noon (depends on prep skills)
Rate of pay comparable and DOE. Some line cook and breakfast experience a plus.
Positive communication skills and a teamwork-oriented approach are required. Bilingual kitchen.
Basic Requirements:
Experience working in a high volume commercial kitchen
Egg experience
Weekend and early morning availability

Some of the Job Responsibilities include:
-Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
-Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
-Cooks food items to specified recipes and standards.
-Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
-Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.
