Black Shirt Brewing Co is currently seeking a part-time / full time pizza chef to join our team of light hearted, dedicated professionals!
This will be for approximately 18-32+ hours per week(but can grow as we move into the busy season) depending on position and days you are available. We are a small and mighty brewpub with a very small kitchen driven by passion and purpose. We foster an atmosphere of hard work, communication, and meticulous attention to detail, which results in crafting some of the best pizza (and beer!) in the Denver metro.
The difference that puts us on top is in our dough, our house-made sauces and beer-centric ingredients. Because of our high standards, and because we operate such a fast-paced kitchen, we're looking for committed, energetic, self-motivated cooks who are looking to make innovative pizza and want to elevate their skills with a unique and growing company.

Line Cook / Pizza Chef Job Responsibilities:
Set up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
Prepare food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
Cook food items by baking and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.
Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs.
Line Cook Qualifications/Skills:
Basic written and verbal communication skills
Organizational skills
Accuracy and speed in executing tasks
Ability to work as a team member
Follows directions and instructions
Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
One to two years of experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook
Certificate in Culinary Arts preferred
Experience with various cooking methods and procedures
Familiar with industry best practices. (FIFO, Temperature Danger Zone, Handwashing, etc.)
Serv-safe Certification required within first week.

Starting pay is $19.00 per hour with a $1.00 per hour bump to $20 an hour after 90 days if successful. Also, each employee gets a free shift beer at the end of each shift, 50% off of beer and food and also a family meal is provided during each shift at no charge to the employee.
