Looking for an assistant pizzaiolo at a busy, fast-paced pizzeria in beautiful Grand Lake, Colorado. Escape the summer heat and make some money. This is a tip-pooled restaurant, so all employees during customer hours get tipped. The ideal candidate has experience with Neapolitan-style pizzas, including stretching dough, loading, turning, and pulling pizzas out of oven, and demonstrating consistency constructing pizzas. Must be able to work independently. Conscientious and reliable with strong work ethic a must. Full time position. Possibility to advance to kitchen manager.
Role and Responsibilities:
Food prep and stocking.
Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
Follow proper procedures to ensure food preparation and storage meet health and safety standards as directed.
Clean prep area and restaurant area as directed.
Assist with stocking inventory and supplies.
Prepare menu items which entails stretching dough, constructing pizzas, loading, turning and taking pizzas out of oven. Work with minimal assistance from Pizzaiolo.
Follow Head Chef directions related to food preparation and execution, guest service expectations, and safety.
Job Requirements and Skills:
Previous food-service industry experience preferred (3+years), particularly working with pizza.
Have, or ability to get, Food Handler/Manager Certificate Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work quickly and efficiently with accuracy and independently.
Ability to work well as part of a team and follow directions.
Ability to maintain personal hygiene.
Able to multitask and read/follow recipes proficiently.
Fun and positive attitude.
Excellent communication and guest service skills.
Physical Requirements:
Lift up to 50lbs Standing and working on feet for prolonged hours.
Work nights, weekends, and holidays, May-October.
Salary Range: Base pay (DOE) plus tip-pool averages $25-$40/hour
