Develop comprehensive media strategies tailored to local markets, leveraging both traditional and digital channels to support Residential, Business and MDU objectives
Conduct thorough research to identify target demographics, consumer behaviors, and media consumption patterns within highly-targeted geographic areas
Manage media budgets effectively, ensuring optimal allocation across various channels and platforms
Serve as the primary point of contact for external advertising and media agencies
Provide clear direction and guidance to agency partners, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines, messaging strategies, and campaign objectives
Review and evaluate agency proposals, recommendations, and media plans, providing feedback and direction to optimize strategies and tactics
Lead select direct media buys across multiple channels, negotiating rates and placements to maximize reach and efficiency
Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for optimization
Cultivate relationships with local media vendors, staying informed about new opportunities and emerging trends in the market
Partner with PR and Community Marketing on earned media strategies, including outreach to local publications, influencers, and community organizations
Foster a culture of collaboration and open communication within the marketing team and across the organization to align media strategies with overall objectives and goals
What You Will Need:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. MBA is a plus
8 years of experience in media planning, buying, or strategy, preferably with a focus on local markets
Experience in a telecommunication environment a plus
Proven track record of developing and executing successful media campaigns, with tangible results
Strong analytical skills and experience using data to inform marketing decisions and evaluate marketing efforts
Deep understanding of local market dynamics, consumer behavior, and media landscape
Proficiency in media planning and buying tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite and Google Analytics
Strong negotiating skills
Experience monitoring media performance, including proof of performance
Demonstrated project management and organizational skills; proven ability to manage multiple priorities and provide excellent follow through
Strong written, verbal and presentation skills, including the ability to articulate ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively
Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to achieve results effectively and professionally
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, dynamic environment
MS Office Suite: Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and Excel.
Must be able to successfully pass a background and drug test prior to employment
