Docking Intern

Develop creative mechanical design concepts to deliver on-orbit servicing solutions.Perform structural design and configuration tasks on a range of items including spacecraft structures, ground support equipment, deployable structures, and servicing interfaces.Develop robotic controls system and be able to communicate between software, electrical, and mechanical teams and tasks.Support functional testing of prototype systems to inform design improvement iterations.Support structural qualification testing on spacecraft systems and components including test design, test conduct, and operating interface equipment for unit under test.Produce part and assembly drawings for manufacturing and interfacing with manufacturers.Apply technical knowledge to analyze, investigate, and solve engineering problems.Collaborate with customer and supplier staff, and staff from other parts of Astroscale.Contribute to technical documentation, reports, and presentations.
