As an Accounting Manager, you will manage a group of accountants and will be responsible for various data gathering, tracking, and record keeping (financial forecasting, budgeting, and planning; preparing of financial schedules, statements, and reports) Where You Will Work Our corporate office is located in the Denver Tech Center. Our office spans the top two floors of the building and features expansive views of the mountains and the downtown skyline. AIR values relationships and the benefits from working side by side with teammates, therefore this position will be in-office 5 days a week to support operations.What You Will DoLead a team of accountants, providing guidance, insight, and opportunity for growth and development.Supervising assigned staff including hiring, training, overseeing and reviewing performance, promoting and terminating or reassigning.Manage accounting and financial analyses in one or more financial areas including auditing, budgeting, cost accounting, general accounting, and program cost control and scheduling. Be a driving resource to improve processes and communicate policies and procedures to team and other departments.Applying advanced accounting concepts, theories and principals to develop solutions to problems. Adhering to FASB guidelines and GAAP, company policies and procedures and other regulations in the performance of duties.Providing advice as subject matter expert in the development of accounting software and systems. Performing technical reviews of complex joint venture accounting transactions, including drafting and finalizing Accounting whitepapers.Leading monthly and quarterly fluctuation analyses and prepare key deliverables for Management team.Representing the Accounting team as the primary contact for explaining current period actual results to outside teams (FP&A, Operations Finance, etc.).Leading complex Corporate accounting functions including accruals, debt, equity, and cash flows.Performing SOX control procedures, including performing walkthroughs and providing relevant information to internal and external auditors.Managing the overall SOX process, including serving as one of the key leads for the external audit.This is an in-office position.Keys to Success:Leader: You lead by example, possess a clear vision, have humility and like help people reach their goalsDetail Oriented: You are consistently accurate, have an eye for detail and would always spot an error.Nimble Problem Solver: You proactively call out problems, while also providing recommendations and solutions.  You are optimistic and say "Yes!" to finding an answer.Team Focused: You help team members see the importance of what they are doing.  You provide guidance when needed, and have a track record of developing others; providing both constructive feedback and encouragement.Energized and Resilient: You are optimistic and display a positive attitude.  You're determined and maintain composure under stress. Winner: You are driven and want to be known for your best work and working for a winning team.
