Job Description:

Colorado Medical Supplies, a premier DME company is seeking a dedicated, Customer Service who wants to be part of a company that makes a difference in patient's lives.

TITLE: Customer Service Specialist

REPORTS TO: Branch Manager

EXPECTATIONS OF WORK HOURS: Full Time, hourly

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILIIES:

1. Answer incoming patient and referral source calls received at the local branch related to new orders, and ongoing patient service needs such as troubleshooting, order status and other general inquiries.

2. Complete outbound calls to patient and referral sources regarding order receipt confirmation, documentation requirements, insurance benefits, patient scheduling, order status and patient Wellness Calls.

3. Adherence to all of Colorado Medical Supplies policies and procedures as well as compliance with all accreditation standards

4. Interact with customers/patients as needed showing proper demeanor and behavior with regards to sales and marketing of products

5. Measure and select appropriate item for customer based on need and physician’s order

6. Follow all procedural documentation guidelines and requirements for complete payer reimbursement

7. Fit item according to manufacturer’s guidelines

8. Respect customer’s dignity and privacy

9. Teach and instruct patient/caregiver in (when applicable) proper use, cleaning, maintenance, storage and troubleshooting of item(s).

10. Participate in all scheduled in-service training programs annually as directed.

11. Provide or supervise all cleaning of service areas to ensure compliance with infection control issues

12. Complete annual competencies as required

13. Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

Successful completion of factory training program by the manufacturer(s) of the products supplied by the company (as applicable)

Effective verbal and written communication skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

1. Sitting, standing, walking, working at desk, counter in office and throughout facility

2. Operation of office machinery and equipment

3. Occasionally lift/move items up to 40 pounds

4. Visual abilities to include reading, distance vision and peripheral vision
