Aerotek is hiring an operations and maintenance technician in Trinidad Colorado.
Operations & Maintenance Technicians will maintain a few projects up to 150MW solar projects. Techs will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and PM's on all associated equipment and systems. They also will be hiring/overseeing sub vendors, and reporting to team on status of work and sites.
Techs will perform monthly and annual maintenance activities, including mechanical work with motors, gearboxes, shafts, bearings, and more.
Other responsibilities will include using electrical industry standard troubleshooting methods to troubleshoot various AC, DC, and communication issues on:
o Three-phase industrial equipment.
o Industrial communication processes including RS232, RS485, Ethernet, and fiber optic systems.
o Low voltage instruments.
o 1,500-volt DC power system.
o 35 kV electrical distribution system.
o Networking equipment such as computers, PLCs, switches, and cell modems.
Skills:

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Ideally a journeyman's license in Colorado.
Apprentice or low voltage strong candidates will also be considered (can log hours while working there)
Understanding of power systems, DC electricity principles, low voltage AC, motors and communications.
Hours/Work Environment
40 hrs/week
Autonomous work - usually will be able to set your own schedule
