The work is meaningful, the culture is rewarding, and the purpose is eternal.The Fulfillment Clerk 1 position exists to provide packaging and transportation services for all internal ministry initiatives. A combination of order picking and packing, along with knowledge of tiered transportation offerings will be utilized within a customized third-party software solution to fulfill and ship ministry outbound requests. General knowledge of department GL’s and its direct tie into the shipping process is necessary for proper chargeback and billing through the ministry accounting process. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Small Parcel Order Fulfillment:

Utilizes custom SharePoint interface to acknowledge, print and pack daily ministry order requests

Uses ISBN and/or other sku based item codes along with a rack/bay/bin location system to pick requested in-house products

Packages requested product in various container types to assure reasonable protection for items that range in value from low cost to potentially thousands of dollars

Is available to receive and process non-system-based requests with accompanying product

Can provide personal packing and shipping services to ministry employees

Small Parcel Shipping :

Understands US carrier zones to determine best value to transit ratio

Correctly ties and inputs department GL to shipping commodity

Provides in system electronic tracking acknowledgments as necessary

Utilizes third party shipping software to input collected data and produce labels

Organizes outbound packages by service level to ensure they are matched with the proper carrier pickup vehicles

Fills out shipping paperwork for each order so that all departments, tenants, and personal packages are accounted for and charged through finance

Team Responsibilities :

Develops ideas and suggestions toward continuous process improvement; takes personal responsibility for quality of the team's results

Takes personal responsibility for housekeeping and safety within the team's work area

Contributes toward meeting predetermined performance objectives

Remains flexible and willing to work anywhere with any team member when there is a need

Remains dependable and punctual, has a good attendance record

Other Duties/Responsibilities:

All In Plant Staff has cross train opportunities and are expected to engage in non-specialized work in other areas. This includes shipping, manufacturing, Internal Services and Warehouse

Performs other duties as assigned

Working Environment/Physical Requirements:

Must be able to pass a Post Offer Prehire Physical exam

Must be able to work outside in winter, summer, or rainy conditions on a limited basis as necessary

Noise from various mail/material-handling machines

Fumes from forklift exhaust

Dust associated with mail and packing materials

Lifting and carrying of material up to 60 pounds

Must be able to push/pull 50lbs

Must be able to stand 6 - 8 hours/day

Must be able to bend, crouch, squat, crawl, kneel, balance, and reach above head

Requires repetitive tasks/motions, good eye-hand-foot coordination, and good manual dexterity

Must be able to hear alarms/phone/normal speaking voice

Knowledge/Experience:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Knowledge of basic software applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

Requires coordination sufficient to operate various machines

Ability to function in a team environment with ability to encourage other team members

Quick learner, not easily distracted

Pay Range: $15.00 to $17.00/hr
