The work is meaningful, the culture is rewarding, and the purpose is eternal.The Identity & Access Engineer 1 position exists to support the objectives of Focus on the Family ministry departments by engineering Identity and Access Management technology to work effectively and efficiently and to support day-to-day activities, and continuously looking for areas of improvement. Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Designs, engineers, tests, implements, and integrates Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems and solutions. Ensures that solutions protect information resources against unauthorized use, inappropriate degrees of access, disclosure, damage and/or loss. Leverages problem solving and data analysis skills to ensure projects deliver on time
Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system design weaknesses. Troubleshoots and manages the resolution of issues related identities, systems, access, accounts, authentication, authorization, entitlements, and permissions. Determines and recommends the most appropriate response to identified more complex problems, issues and/or defects by assessing impact and prioritization
Ensures the maintenance, patching, operating, and monitoring of IAM systems. Troubleshoots, supports, and resolves system incidents, problems, and changes, as required
Aids the Sr. Manager of IAM and Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) in the continuous adoption, training, communication, and education of IAM capabilities, functions, and standards
Works alongside the Sr. Manager of IAM and GRC to design reusable strategies, decisions, service components, libraries, and frameworks to support enterprise-level IAM services
Administers Active Directory, Delegates rights for user profile maintenance in accordance with Cybersecurity policies
Provides thought leadership in the overall improvement of IAM products that will positively improve internal customers’ online experience
Works closely with other technology teams to integrate with other processes and aids in making IAM most effective and efficient, by leveraging existing technology investments (e.g., Delinea, JAMF, Microsoft InTune, Windows SCCM)
Stays abreast of emerging technology trends and makes recommendations for system direction
Performs day-to-day access management operations, including gathering of appropriate approvals, as well as provisioning of access
Engineers, alongside the IAM team, the IAM technology including, Active Directory, Azure, Okta, Delinia,
Adheres to procedures for Incident Management, Problem Management, Release Management, Service Level Management, Capacity Management, Availability Management, Change Management and Configuration Management
Other Duties/Responsibilities:
Will be required to carry a cell phone for availability to provide support
Participates in on-call duties as scheduled
Performs other duties as assigned
Working Environment/Physical Requirements:
Stressful situations in resolving “down” conditions or meeting tight deadlines for installations

Knowledge/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems or equivalent experience in the associated technology field
1-3 years of experience in a LAN environment of 500 computers or more
Experience in multiple operating systems
Experience with information security concepts such as authentication, access control, and cryptography
1 year of experience with Directory Services
Skills, Abilities, and Special Talents/Gifts:
Technically proficient and highly skilled in trouble shooting a large corporate network environment
Commands a solid understanding of Local Area Network hardware and software,
Learns new technologies quickly and independently utilizing course work, on the job training, manuals, technical journals, calls to technical support
Works independently to solve problems; analyzes situation and identifies cause(s) of problems; evaluates and presents alternatives to management; knows when to seek help and guidance to clarify requirements, and derives and documents requirements where none are present
Communicates effectively and in a professional manner; ability to communicate and present ideas to team members and management at various technical levels
Strong attention to detail; follows procedures and documents, plans, test results, configurations and logs thoroughly
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and multiple assignments

Proficient in data center operations, server class enterprise hardware configuration,
Windows and Linux operating systems, operating system maintenance, and patch management scenarios.

Ability to manage projects, determines schedules, and meets deadlines

Pay Range: $72,800 to $85,280/yr
