We are a custom metal fabrication company located in Boulder, CO that specializes in engineering and designing creative, aesthetic mixed media projects with a focus on steel. We have an opening for a unique position of an advanced metal fabricator/builder to assist with in-shop and on-site fabrication and construction and manage multiple projects with the fab/ install crew.
Essential Skills:
Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
General construction and building knowledge/experience, minimum 4 years in construction.
Proficient in computer skills.
Effective communication skills and a team player.
Self-starter, independent.
Personal accountability and must take pride in their work.
Ability to identify and problem solve.
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in welding/fabrication.
We need someone who has worked in the architectural metal industry before, or has been involved with highly detailed trim carpentry and has a knowledge of the same math and layout skills, and most importantly the efficiency skills involved in trim and casework, which has many similarities to our work. We are trim carpenters of the welding world! The position requires someone who has the following skills to be successful.
Requirements:
Must be eligible to work in the US.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Have a strong work ethic and passion for building.
As an advance fabricator we are looking for someone who has that innate trait to being detail oriented, have effective team communication/coordination and aligns with our company values and goals. As a project manager we need someone who can put their work down and answer questions asked by their team and pick back up without a hitch to their step. Someone who can juggle multiple projects and keep things organized and up to date with management as needed. A good communicator with vendors and clients. Most importantly someone who can positively handle the frequent changes that occur in construction by dropping one project, picking up another, and dropping again to finish the first. This job entails custom fabrication, precise measuring, cutting, and on-site install. We are a custom shop so every project is different and you will need to be able to learn and adapt to each build accordingly.
