Job Description: The Leasing Specialist is the first point of contact when a prospective resident enters the community. It is your job to make them feel welcomed, informed and taken care of from the first tour of the property through the final lease contract. You are the support system for the residents, handling all of their requests and concerns, and it is your job to make sure everything is quickly communicated to the appropriate person on your team.
Pay starts at $15-$17 depending on experience and reliability
Schedule requires weekends
General Duties and Responsibilities:
Meet and greet prospective residents and vendors in a professional and enthusiastic manner.
Tour apartment community and vacant apartments with clients
Qualify clients by determining his or her needs, eligibility, and desirability;
Utilize telephone and leasing techniques
Know all specific and current knowledge of apartment specifications, vacancies, notices, and rental rates
Having a thorough knowledge of the surrounding area, schools, shopping, bus lines, and any other pertinent neighborhood information.
Helping your prospects fill out the application, lease paperwork, and move-in/move-out procedures and be able to explain these items to existing and prospective residents.
Assist in implementing the marketing and leasing plan for the community.
Ensure the model and target apartments are ready for show on a daily basis.
Respond to all resident requests for work orders and helping coordinate with the Maintenance Team
Fully understand and comply with Company policies and procedures.
Assist in planning resident functions. Attend functions and participate as host for any functions as directed by the Community Manager.

Demonstrate an impressive ability to support and contribute to your community team in any way you can!
Strong spoken and written communication skills.
Being familiar with Microsoft Office including Word and MS Outlook, and community software.
Must possess a positive attitude and the ability to smile and maintain professionalism under all circumstances.
Demonstrate ability to diffuse and respond to customer concerns to avoid escalation of the problem.
Comply with expectations as demonstrated in the employee handbook.

Experience and Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
1-2 years of apartment leasing or sales and/or customer service experience preferred.
Proficient with MS Office, specifically Excel and Outlook; YARDI experience preferred
