The Family Learning Center, a grassroots nonprofit organization in Boulder, is hiring an Assistant School Age Program Coordinator to support our School Age Program. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity with potential for promotion to Elementary Program Coordinator within 6-12 months based on training and performance.
We empower children and families to change the world by providing impactful education in early childhood, STEM learning, and health & wellness. We are seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and creative person ready to step into a leadership role working with children ages 7-11.
Job Responsibilities:
Design and implement STEAM-focused learning activities (Fridays).
Develop engaging educational content for elementary students.
Track student academic progress and maintain program records.
Build relationships with Community Liaisons at local elementary schools.
Supervise daily activities for students in the School Age Program.
Plan and coordinate field trips and in-service day programs.
Organize parent meetings (fall & spring) and special events.
Drive Learning Center vans for field trips as needed.
Support a clean and organized learning environment.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
2+ years experience working with children ages 7-11 and engaging with families or the public.
Honest, trustworthy, respectful, and flexible.
Team-oriented mindset.
Pass FBI and CBI background checks.
Valid driver’s license; ability to drive a 15-passenger van preferred.
Compensation:
Salary: $35,000/year
Vacation aligned with BVSD school calendar.
Work Schedule:
part-time, salaried position.
Schedule follows Boulder Valley School District (BVSD) calendar.
