Pay rate: $17.84/hour. Plus $0.50/hour end-of-season bonus upon completion of the season in November for every hour you worked during the season. And vegetables from the farm.
Work at one of the best farms in Boulder County! The farm crew makes it all happen at Red Wagon. The farm crew is responsible for harvesting, usually daily, to fulfill commitments to our CSA members, farm store, and other customers. You will also work on many other projects like planting, weeding, cleaning equipment, end-of-season cleanup, etc. We have very high-quality standards at Red Wagon Farm and we expect crew members to follow all of our procedures to ensure the highest quality produce.
You must have a minimum of 3 months of experience working on a vegetable farm. Many members of our farm crew are Spanish speakers and it is very helpful to have some farm crew members who are bilingual English/Spanish.
We are looking for people who can work full-time Monday through Friday during the growing season. Work hours during the summer are generally 6am – 3:30pm for a total of 45 hours per week. Work hours shift later towards the end of the season once the early morning hours are dark and cold.
You will work at both of our farm locations and you will regularly go back and forth between the two. One farm is on Baseline Rd in Lafayette (Thomas Open Space) and the other farm is on N 63rd St near Niwot.
You must be able to work efficiently at everything you do. We have a tremendous amount of work to accomplish every day. We need our whole team to be focused and effective throughout the workday.
