American Legion Post 32, a veteran-focused non-profit organization with a vibrant members lounge & live music venue in Longmont, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Bartender to join our team. As the Lead Bartender at Post 32, you will have the opportunity to showcase your talent by leading the bar team, placing/receiving orders, and create a welcoming environment for our members and guests We are looking for a talented bartender that wants to continue or take the next step in their bartender career as a lead bartender.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Bar Staff:
Train, mentor, schedule and oversee bar staff and monitor community service volunteers.
Ensure all staff adhere to Legion policies and industry standards.
2. Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels of all bar supplies and ingredients.
Place orders for necessary items and assist in stock control.
3. Financial Transactions:
Handle customer payments, accurately process transactions, and manage cash register operations.
Assist in managing bar budgets and tracking sales.
Strong working knowledge of Toast (Point of Sale) system.
4. Policy Compliance:
Ensure compliance with Post 32 house rules, local laws and regulations regarding the serving of alcohol.
Ensure responsible serving practices and age verification.
5. Event Support:
Assist in the planning and execution of special events, promotions, and themed nights as needed.
Experience with Canva, Microsoft office suite, scheduling software, and Toast POS system
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a bartender or assistant manager, with at least 3+ years in a high-volume bar or restaurant.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
TIPS Certification required upon employment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items, such as kegs and cases of beverages.
Navigate a dynamic environment and manage high-pressure situations with confidence.
