Job Title: FOH Manager

Reports To: Owners and Pastry Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a FOH Manager who thrives in a busy bakery setting and is dedicated to delivering a warm, welcoming and clean environment for guests with the support of team members. This position requires excellent communication skills with customers, the owners, the front of house staff, as well as with the production staff. Management skills extend from instilling great service from Babettes’ team to making sure the shop is running smoothly. Must be available weekends and work at least one opening and one closing shift each week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Customer Service; Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promotes the culture of Babettes

· Effectively leads the shop to ensure that excellent shop operations are consistently achieved

· Delegates duties, assigns specific tasks and ensuring team members are prepared for each day

· Responsible for the training and development of staff

· Follow inventory control procedures and guidelines to keep bakery items stocked as necessary

· Follow Babettes’ operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety/security, to ensure the safety of all team members and customers

· Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the shop and ensure proper set up and breakdown of the entire shop including bakery, dining room, restrooms, coffee area, and dishroom

· Work as a team to prepare shop for smooth shift transition

· Ability to manage time effectively while meeting all job responsibilities

· Maintain a positive work environment for team members and customers

· Ensures food safety in the bakery through sanitation and safety procedures including knife handling and prep equipment

· Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality

· Communicate regularly with Manager and Owners

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS

· Excellent customer service skills required and have the ability to communicate efficiently to help keep all team members informed and motivated

· Must be able to take direction and delegate responsibilities and work in a fast paced environment.

· Team oriented, adaptable, dependable, and strong work ethic

· Toast POS system

· Must work 38 hours/week, Wednesday through Sunday, including at least one opening shift as well as one closing shift

· Must ensure all shifts are covered at all times

· Must communicate any special accommodations needed for self as well as any team member to owners and Manager

EXPERIENCE

· Previous management or leadership experience required

PAY

$23/hour

BENEFITS

· 48 hours/year of Paid Time Off to be accrued at a rate of 2/hours a pay period
