I have a fun and sports-oriented 39 year old son with mild cognitive disabilities who is overweight and needs a health coach to help him get fit. I need someone who understands the correct quality food to eat (no carbs, no seed oils etc) and an exercise program. He already walks about 10,000 steps a day 5 days a week. He would have to lose about 100# to be able to run again, which is his goal. He loves to talk about sports and go to games and would be very helpful if you like to talk about sports as well. He works for Argus - the staffing company that takes tickets and provides security at the Buffs games and pro sports games in Denver. He is safe to be around and loves all types of people and pets and has passed background checks and has worked at elementary schools as a hall and a field and recess monitor. He also participates in Special Olympics and has a Boulder Rec pass that is good at all the facilities.
You would have to really love this kind of project and be very good at dealing with him. This can integrate well into your own fitness routines, or if you want to lose weight with him, you could do it together. He lives around 30th and Pearl.
His big ego requires some finesse to get him off bad habits like going out to eat and ordering high-carb foods. You'd be very flexible on when you'd be with him and do some cooking together and some exercise. Frequent text check-ins would also be required to help keep him on task. I think this would take 5-10 hours a week, and is OK if you travel or go on vacation and need time off.
