What You Will Do: Informatica ETL Administrator must interface with Database Administrators (DBAs), Application Administrators (AA), third-party system administrators, and the end-user community. Specific job duties include:
  • Installing and patching: Installation, configuration and tuning of Informatica software. Patching of the software in all environments.
  • Conduct Troubleshooting: Work with the Developers and Data Warehouse DBA to resolve application problems. Troubleshooting of application audit logging.
  • Perform Migrations: Migrate code between test, Quality Assurance (QA) and production environments.
  • Create Configuration: Configuration of the ETL environments to meet user and security requirements. Familiarity with audit logging.
  • Perform Tuning: Tuning of Informatica, Develops standards and tuning metrics and alert thresholds. Performance tuning as required.
  • Development: Ability to create Informatica workflows based upon user requirements and data modeling.
  • Validation of work: Review proposed changes and unit test in development, support test and QA environment.
  • Create Documentation: Develops a complete set of ETL documentation describing the current configuration of the system.
  • UNIX: Must have a functional knowledge of UNIX shell scripting including vi and file management commands. Solaris and RHEL specifically.
  • Data Modeling: Participate & provide data modeling support in order to develop and maintain robust ETL workflows per requirements.

Required Skills:
  • College-level communications skills, being able to communicate clearly, both orally and with written communications.
  • Education/Certification
    • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Computer Science is required.
      • Required minimum of 7 years of Informatica (v 10) ETL application development experience and Solaris 11 and/or Red Hat Linux (RHEL) Operating System.
      • Required experience with Control M Scheduler Software on Solaris/RHEL Operating System. Experience with other scheduling software will be considered.
    • Candidates MUST be a and be willing to obtain an ADP I or ADP II clearance.
