different.Job OverviewPerforms high quality pediatric Nuclear Medicine (NM) and Positron

Emission Tomography (PET) / PET-CT procedures. Provides conscientious

patient care while adhering to all quality and safety standards; to include

Safe handling and Management of Radio Pharmaceuticals. Performs administrative

duties including but not limited to scheduling appointments, patient

instructions, and maintenance of records. This position is responsible for

communicating regularly with patients, families, and all hospital and

community caregivers while following department expectations for interactions

with patients and families.Required to be on call depending on location.Additional InformationDepartment Name: Nuclear Medicine

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the

following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the

Produces high quality imaging while accurately demonstrating anatomy and

pathology utilizing proper imaging protocols.

Facilitates patient flow daily; to include management of STAT/urgent and

high priority patients.

Provides age-appropriate care and appropriately prepares patients for

procedures.

Provides clear and detailed information regarding the procedure and are to

patients, families, coworkers, and others.

Operates all imaging equipment; to include ancillary equipment following

safety procedures and protocols.

Demonstrates and utilizes principles of ALARA (As Low As Reasonably

Achievable) and ensures proper radiation safety practices.

Competent in dose reduction techniques and the Image Gently Campaign.
