Experienced Heavy Equipment Lowbed Driver. Minimum two years of lowbed experience with 16 tire trailer experience required (9 axle experience is a bonus). Mostly regional / local work within 100 miles of Olivehurst, CA. Monday – Friday, but can include weekends as well. $30-$35 hourly wage based on experience.
Nordic Industries, Inc is a non-union contractor specializing in levee construction and flood control infrastructure.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safely transport heavy equipment and materials to and from job sites.
Ability to operate equipment for loading and unloading in a safe and efficient manner.
Strap and chain the load safely and securely.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including times, locations and fuel use.
Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer.
Exercise good time management skills.
Maintain the truck and keep it clean.
Follow all traffic laws and regulations.
Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, required permits, local and state regulations.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
Class A CDL with current DOT medical card.
Clean driving record.
Must have experience operating lowbed with 16 tire trailer.
Minimum 2 years lowbed driving experience.
9 Axle/End Dump/Semi Bottom driving experience a plus.
High school diploma, general education degree (G.E.D.), related trade school education, or 1+ years of related experience.
Must demonstrate excellent safety awareness and a willingness to comply with company policies and safety standards, including proper ergonomics to prevent work-related injuries.
Project a positive and cooperative attitude by building and maintaining a courteous and professional relationship with co-workers, customers, inspectors, and the public.
While on a jobsite, you must always wear proper attire including safety vest, safety glasses when appropriate, long pants, hard sole/close toed shoes, and reflect a clean and presentable image.
Trustworthy and dependable, including regular and predictable attendance and punctuality required.
Must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug tests.
Must provide proper documentation that you have the legal right to work in the United States.

WORKING CONDITIONS
This job requires the ability to lift, pull, and push a minimum of 50 lbs., bend, stoop, kneel, reach, squat, twist, and climb heavy equipment several times throughout the day. In addition, you must have the ability to be on your feet regularly and use hands, arms, and legs repeatedly on the job. This includes frequently walking on sloped ground and slippery and uneven surfaces, as well as working in confined areas.
This job requires the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
This job requires the ability to see, whether naturally or with vision correction tools (glasses, contacts).
This job requires the ability to perform essential job tasks in less than favorable job conditions. These may include but are not limited to: Performing strenuous work in varying temperatures, humidity, sand, wind, smoke, or other extreme inclement weather conditions for extended periods of time.
Work may be performed in an environment with exposure to extremely hot materials, fuel, fumes, vapors, dust, grease, and oils, as well as loud and/or constant noise and exposure to moving equipment.
Most jobs are within a 100-mile radius of Olivehurst, CA.
Most jobs are Monday – Friday but can include weekends as well.
Depending on weather and workload, you may occasionally work up to 12 hours a day.
