California Designers Choice Custom Cabinetry is a high-end custom cabinetry company. We've been in business for over 30 years and are reliable to both our clients and employees. We're family-owned and operated, fast-paced, and have a growing team of over 45 custom cabinetry designers, fabricators, installers, and finishers, based out of Camarillo.
We're looking for a cabinet finishing helper who can support and work alongside our lead field finisher. As part of a 4-member finishing team you'll be working in both the field and our 1,700 sq ft dedicated finishing facility and have the following responsibilities:
- Assist the lead finisher with all aspects of prepping and finishing custom cabinetry in the field. This includes puttying, sanding, caulking, masking, and the application of high-quality 2K paints and stains.
- Drive and maintain finishing van, materials, tools, equipment, and job-specific supplies.
- Perform delegated instructions by the lead finisher with minimal supervision
- Maintain our high quality standards, and craftsmanship in both service and production.
- Driving to and from job sites in an assigned company vehicle. Valid Driver's license Required.
- Help prep vehicle for next day's work and learn proper documentation of daily work logs and conveyance of all site observations both verbally and written.
- Help maintain a safe work environment, at all times.
Skills:
- Ability to understand and interpret floor plans and elevation drawings.
- Strong knowledge of cabinet finishing techniques and materials. Including how to caulk, sand, and mask cabinets.
- Proficient in using tools and equipment related to cabinet finishing
Qualifications:
- Valid CA driver's license with a clean drivering record.
- 1+ years' experience in the painting or finishing trade: with verifiable references.
- Must be able to lift 40+ lbs. and stand for long periods of time
- Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times, according to our company standards.
