Bevyhouse is a premium builder of high-end, custom modular homes. We design, engineer, and build homes in our factory that are faster, stronger, and more cost-effective than traditional site-building. We are looking for an experienced Lead Framer who wants to join our team, expand their skill set and career opportunities, and help us innovate on every level of construction.
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, production-oriented individual with a passion for quality craftsmanship and a strong work ethic. Working closely with the Production Manager and framing team, the Lead Framer will perform the following tasks:
1. Provide layout for steel, framing, hardware, fixtures, and rough openings
2. Work with other journeymen and apprentice carpenters to frame our houses
3. Train and coach less skilled employees
4. Install weatherproofing
5. Install exterior doors and windows
6. Install exterior siding
7. Assist with the installation of the modules on-site as well as some site framing, such as truss rolling and roof framing
8. Be responsible for the efficient and profitable use of the company’s time, manpower, and materials on each project
9. Seek additional responsibility and guidance from company management employees as needed to enhance existing skills, learn new skills, and create potential for advancement within the company.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Five (5) years of experience in rough carpentry at a residential construction company
Possess an understanding of residential construction practices
Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with clients, colleagues, and subcontractors/laborers to their understanding
Knowledge of related tools, finish techniques, equipment and materials
Demonstrate experience and passion for client satisfaction
Must have reliable transportation that can transport tools and materials safely between job sites and a clean driving record
Must own your tools
Must be eligible to work in the US
Posses a desire to pursue career advancement
Additional trade knowledge and skills are strongly desired.
