Vacancy caducado!
We are looking for a "computer auditor/technician" for help with receiving computer equipment into our warehouse manifest system.
The position is part OR full-time, and should be considered a temporary position which could lead to something more.
So what is this job all about? An auditor visually inspects the recently received used computer equipment to make sure they meet our cosmetic standards. Once you confirm they look the part, then you have to determine that the components inside match what we purchased and that the computer works correctly.
You'll do a quick "audit" by plugging the device in, powering it up, and then you'll go into the BIOS where you will report your finding on the CPU, HDD, Memory, Optical Drive, etc into our audit database. Once you determine the computer being audited matches what we purchased and it works correctly, you'd PASS it and do a BIOS update (as needed). Those that don't meet our standards, are FAILED for return to the vendor.
The candidate doesn't have to be a computer genius, but should be very comfortable working with computers - inside and out. You'll likely do part swaps, upgrades, and maybe even do some device driver updates within Windows.
Chromebook knowledge is a plus - not a requirement.
