Two-day a Week caregiver needed for a senior in Leisure Village (Camarillo). Searching for someone who is interested in working two full days a week providing caregiving and companionship. This person would be caring for a petite 94-year-old great-grandmother, who loves to read, rarely watches television, and has been living with a caregiver since 2021. She can walk with a walker and perform personal tasks with support. We are looking for a person to make three quality meals a day, help her with her personal hygiene, daily routine, as well as care for her indoor-only cat.
We require a vaccinated, non-smoking, drug-free caregiver who can offer kind and compassionate support. The applicant must have the strength and proper technique to care for the client. This role is to provide relief for the current full-time live-in caregiver. The work days are negotiable. However, the caregiver would show up at 8:00 PM on the first day and stay on site for 48 hours. There are breaks during the day as the client reads and about 8 hours of rest overnight. The client uses an external catheter (no need for bathroom visits at night). This is a two bedroom/two bath home with the client in the master bedroom and the full-time care giver in the other bedroom. Sleeping would be on the living room sofa or a twin bed. The caregiver and nearby family members would be available for emergencies and to answer questions.
