Local winery is seeking an Accounting Specialist to handle tasks such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank reconciliation.
Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
$30.00-$35.00/hour + Benefits
Responsibilities:
Accounts receivable and revenue.
Post direct to consumer (DTC) daily sales totals on a regular basis and document discrepancies.
Reconcile DTC cash receipts and resolve cash receipt discrepancies with the team.
Review and reconcile monthly merchant account activity.
Review, post, and report on other sales, as needed.
Report on total revenue trends weekly for both DTC and wholesale.
Accounts payable and expense.
Function as back-up for accounts payable posting and payment runs.
Month end close, financial controls, and compliance.
Document balance sheet reconciliations with a focus on comparing the financial statement records to external sources.
Handle general ledger bookkeeping where necessary.
Analyze and summarize data in support of compliance and tax reporting.
Assist with analysis of physical versus book inventory and communicate findings to the team.
Assist Club members with wine pick-ups, answering phones calls, or at quarterly pick-up party, if needed.
Assist with process documentation and automation.
Look for and provide solutions for accounting irregularities.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in an accounting role
Strong analytical skills and ability to summarize or reconcile data
Advanced proficiency in Excel or Power BI
Knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks a plus!
