Description We are a company in the healthcare, hospitals, and social assistance industry, based in Van Nuys, California, looking to bring on board an Administrative Assistant. In this role, you will be providing support to our Managed Care Department, handling contract management, and ensuring interdepartmental coordination. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Accurately and efficiently process managed care contracts, ensuring compliance and implementation Liaise with various hospital departments to guarantee the smooth operation of contract management Keep comprehensive records of contract terms, renewals, and expirations, updating them as needed Collaborate with the legal department to ensure contracts are drafted accurately and legally Assist in negotiation processes with managed care organizations when necessary Prepare for contract audits and execute other relevant administrative duties as assigned Utilize specified software systems, including Case Management Software, CompuLaw, Conveyancer, LexisNexis, and Microsoft Excel, to manage contracts efficiently Provide administrative support to the Managed Care team, including scheduling meetings, note-taking, file organization, and phone call routing Handle client relations and claim administration tasks effectively Manage billing functions and calendar management for the team. Requirements Proficiency in Case Management Software to effectively manage and track patient information Familiarity with CompuLaw for streamlining legal processes in a healthcare context Experience with Conveyancer software to support real estate transactions Knowledge of LexisNexis for conducting comprehensive legal research Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis Ability to handle billing functions effectively to ensure accurate invoicing Experience in calendar management, coordinating meetings, and scheduling appointments Familiarity with claim administration procedures to handle patient insurance claims efficiently Strong client relations skills to maintain positive relationships with patients and their families Knowledge of consumer electronics for troubleshooting common device issues.
