Are you keen to look into the future and dream of what Honeywell can do by applying a strategic and business mindset to technology development?Then you are the future shaper we are looking for!Reporting to the Director for Technology Strategy, this position is responsible for supporting Technology Development activities that are aligned to the AERO overall strategy for Actuation and Electromechanical Systems (AES). The AES TPM portfolio spans both the Air & Thermal Solutions and Electromechanical Controls GBEs including linkage to the Rocky Research team. A wide technology, product and industry background and experience base is required for this position, which will be both challenging and rewarding. The successful candidate will work closely with cross functional teams across Engineering, Advanced Tech, Business and Strategic Marketing to coordinate and drive the maturation of key technologies organically and inorganically in order to fulfill the overall AES strategy.The primary work scope for this role will include contributing to and leading STRAP inputs, developing and driving Technology Procurement Plans, identifying and championing partnership opportunities and aligning Honeywell Technology Strategy with AOP inputs. The successful candidate will excel at identifying growth focused technology, be able to communicate and advocate for when and why new technology is needed and develop a plan for how we leverage inorganic opportunities to develop/acquire technology. An ability to develop and support a conceptual business case along with skills that leverage Accolade, Tableau and other primary sources of HON data are also desired.Key ResponsibilitiesWork closely with the Gold Business Enterprise (GBE) and Offering Managers (OMs), Technology Fellows, Strategic Marketing, Advanced and Applied Technology (AAT), Product Chiefs and Technology Strategy & Innovation teammates to define needed technologies and build Technology to Product Roadmaps that clearly define product need date, Technology Readiness Level 6 need date, and the platforms the technology will be used on.Work with the offering management and the strategic marketing organizations to scope out market opportunities and segmentation to support early business case development that accompanies each technology candidate within the portfolio. Work with the GBE and TSI teammates to build Technology Procurement Plans for technology candidates that can be acquired using inorganic options (Partnering, M&A, VC, etc) or can be developed via external funding sources (Government Agencies, Labs, Universities, etc).Work with the GBEs, Fellows, and Chiefs to understand the competition and develop a growth focused technology strategy for each technology candidate to counter the competition and win.Work collaboratively with the GBE, Fellows, Chiefs to generate an initial IP strategy to ensure the technology will be protected and the business has a right to practice.Work with peer TPMs, TSI leads and Strategic Marketing to uncover cross product line technology candidates and support efforts to advance the resulting Break Through Initiatives (BTIs) Present outputs (Technology Procurement Plans, STRAP, AOP) to CTO, and GBE leadership to receive feedback and approval to execute.
