As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Probate Paralegal to work with us on a contract basis. We are seeking a Probate Paralegal with at least 5 years of experience to join our team as a contractor. This remote, part-time role is ideal for a highly skilled individual who excels in managing probate files, preparing legal documents, and providing top-notch support to attorneys and clients. The successful candidate will enjoy a flexible schedule, a competitive hourly rate, and the freedom to work from anywhere.
Responsibilities:
-Prepare and file essential probate documents, and assist in court appearances as necessary.
-Efficiently manage and organize estate files from initiation to closure.
-Communicate with clients, court personnel, and other stakeholders, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
-Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft pertinent documents.
-Prepare estate planning documents, such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
-Oversee the valuation, inventory, and orderly distribution of estate assets.
-Ensure adherence to deadlines and compliance with court requirements.
Skills and Qualifications:
-Minimum of 5 years of experience as a probate paralegal.
-In-depth knowledge of California probate law and court procedures.
-Proficiency in legal research and case management software.
-Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
-Capable of working autonomously and managing various tasks efficiently.
-Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
-High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
-Paralegal certification or equivalent legal education preferred.
Compensation:
$40 per hour, commensurate with experience. This position does not include benefits as the role is a contract, part-time position.
