Our actions are guided by the core tenets of DAPER culture, “The DAPER Way,” which are: Embrace Scholar Athleticism, Pursue and Revere Excellence, Lead with Courage, and Work Cohesively.The Director of Operations, Beach Volleyball reports to the Head Coach and is primarily responsible for the direction and operational oversight of all Beach Volleyball activities for Stanford University. The Director of Operations, Beach Volleyball serves as the point person for all Beach Volleyball operations.Your responsibilities include:
Team Travel: responsible for travel arrangements, including hotel, transportation, rental cars and preparation of itinerary
Team Operations: organize, plan, and manage team meals, team parties and meetings, extra events, player pass lists etc.
Video: assist with capture, upload, coding, distribution and sharing of match and practice film
Budget management: process all invoices and other purchases in accounting system; assist with budget management
Compliance: serve as liaison between Compliance staff and team staff to assist with NCAA compliance issues
Marketing and Fan Experience: serve as the primary liaison between the varsity program and the marketing and fan experience staffs to increase fan attendance, improve fan experience and enhance the game day experience for student-athletes
Community Outreach: in conjunction with the community relations, marketing and development staffs, create opportunities for the local community, businesses, donors, students and youth athletes to interact with student-athletes to increase engagement and interest
Special Events: coordinate team banquets, alumni gatherings etc.
Camps: assist with any camp-related promotion, registration, and direction. May serve as camp director
Responsible for other duties as assigned
This position may be required to travel to away competitions as needed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
Background in intercollegiate athletics is highly desired
Demonstrated professional strengths in the areas of compliance and daily operations
Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills; analytical problem solver who is well adjusted in dealing with complex business issues involving a diverse group student athletes, coaches, and administrators
Demonstrated excellent organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to prioritize own work and multi-task
Demonstrated strong verbal communication skills, and an ability to write professionally
Candidate should be well versed in all relevant new technologies, innovations, and applications.

This position is responsible for ensuring that his/her/their involvement with Athletics Department activities maintains the integrity of the University’s reputation and does not negatively impact the relationship between the University and its faculty, staff, students and alumni. Additionally, this position must comply with University policies and procedures, NCAA and ACC rules and regulations.The expected pay range for this position is $69,100 to $75,000 per annum.Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position.
