Perry’s Parcel & Courier, locally owned and doing business for over 43 years, has a full-time opening for a driver to handle a delivery route starting and ending in the city of Atascadero with south county being serviced in the AM and North county serviced in the afternoon. There are a variety of stops, with multiple items being exchanged at each stop. The route runs Tuesday through Saturday.
Driver Main Responsibilities:
1. Timely & accurate transfer and delivery of totes and supplies.
2. Obtaining appropriate signatures for all individual transfers
3. Recording accurate counts of all totes being delivered and those being exchanged.
4. Accurate completion of route sheets including obtaining all final signatures.
5. Refueling company VAN at the end of each day.
6. Washing VAN once per week.
Driver Requirements:
1. Valid CA drivers license for minimum of 10 years.
2. Clean driving record.
3. Must be able to drive a large vehicle (Ford Transit Courier Van, extended wheel base, medium roof)
4. Ability to pass background check and drug testing.
5. Ability to work independently while at the same time being a team player.
6. Able to follow the provided route timely and safely.
7. Be flexible in terms of occasional and/or temporary route changes.
8. Be proficient in speaking, reading and writing in English.
9. Have excellent customer service and organizational skills.
10. Must be able to lift and load multiple totes weighing up to 40 pounds each.
