Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Residential Remodeler to join our team. This position involves a wide range of remodeling tasks, requiring a high level of skill and the ability to manage various aspects of home renovation projects. The ideal candidate will be experienced, reliable, and able to travel daily to various locations ranging from Santa Maria to Cayucos for various residential remodeling projects.
As a Journeyman Remodeler, you'll work independently and lead projects to completion, ensuring the highest quality of work. You’ll also collaborate with other tradesmen, supervise laborers, and manage the workflow on job sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and perform high-level remodeling tasks, including framing, carpentry, flooring and other residential renovations.
Collaborate with other skilled trades (electricians, plumbers, etc.) and provide guidance to laborers or apprentices on site.
Read and interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications to execute detailed work.
Oversee job site safety and cleanliness, ensuring compliance with safety standards and local building codes.
Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction.
Travel daily to locations ranging from Santa Maria to Cayucos various job sites (reliable transportation required).
Troubleshoot issues and make decisions to ensure projects stay on track.
Manage tools, materials, and equipment efficiently and safely.
Qualifications:
At least 5 years of hands-on experience in residential remodeling or construction, with a focus on high-quality finishes.
Strong experience in a variety of remodeling tasks, including framing, finish carpentry, and flooring.
Solid understanding of building codes, construction safety, and best practices.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to craftsmanship.
Must be willing to travel daily to various locations ranging from Santa Maria to Cayucos (valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-oriented attitude.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with custom home renovations or high-end remodeling projects.
Leadership experience, including supervising a crew or mentoring apprentices.
Advanced knowledge of plumbing, electrical, framing and finish carpentry.
