Ritual Skin and Body Care in Arroyo Grande is looking for a motivated, flexible, and trainable licensed esthetician to join our small team. Our mission is to help clients feel confident, balanced, and radiant through personalized treatments and holistic rituals in a serene luxury setting.
We’re a boutique studio (two treatment rooms, a cozy lobby, and beautiful views) just past the Arroyo Grande Village. If you thrive in a quiet, peaceful environment and value independence, growth, and connection, this could be the perfect fit.
What We’re Looking For:
- Licensed Esthetician in good standing (CA)
- At least 1 year of experience working as an esthetician
- Professional, reliable, and easy to work with
- Excited to learn new techniques and products
- Flexible scheduling — start with 5–10 hrs/week and grow to 20–30 hrs/week as you build your client base over the next 3–6+ months. Expected to work Mondays/Saturdays, and possibly Fridays and/or Sunday to start.
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent
- You’ll often be working solo with just your client, so we’re looking for someone who is independent, self-motivated, and comfortable in a quiet, peaceful environment.
- Flexibility and willingness to work weekends and evenings
- Impeccable professionalism and presentation. Punctuality and reliability are essential
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced skincare services and holistic rituals with care and attention to detail
- Consult with clients to understand their needs and create customized treatment plans
- Recommend professional products and home care routines to support client results
- Keep treatment spaces and common areas clean, stocked, and welcoming
- Maintain client records and follow up as needed
- Be open to helping with team support, inventory, scheduling, and the occasional social media highlight
- Handle client checkout and rescheduling (we don’t have a receptionist yet, so this will be part of your role for now until one is hired)
- Represent the brand with an upscale, professional demeanor at all times, reflecting the values of Ritual Skin and Body Care
What Success Looks Like:
- Building loyal, happy clients who keep coming back
- Achieving product sales of about 15 – 20% of service revenue
- Strong client retention (75 – 80% or more)
- Starting and ending services on time while still delivering a thorough, relaxing experience
- Being a supportive part of a small team and helping things run smoothly
Compensation & Perks:
Training pay is $22/hour for up to the first 8 weeks while you train, shadow, and begin building your book. Advancement to regular pay depends on performance, skill readiness, and booking levels, and the training period may be extended if additional time is needed.
After training: $24–$26/hr (based on experience, client retention, and performance)

10% commission on retail sales
