We are currently seeking an enthusiastic entry-level Shipping/Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic team.
As a Shipping/Receiving Clerk at McGuire Grinding, you will play a crucial role in handling shipping procedures and general clerical duties. The ideal candidate will be punctual, dependable, detail-oriented, and open to various warehouse tasks. This is a full-time position with Monday to Friday hours from 6 am to 2:30 pm, with flexibility in hours after a review period.
Key Qualifications for this position include:
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates to determine the best shipment method
- Experience in labeling, packing, and affixing shipping information onto containers
- Proficiency in examining incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality
- Inventory management of shipping materials and supplies
- Basic computer skills and good verbal and written communication abilities
- Willingness to help maintain office organization and cleanliness
- Ability to clean and wash parts before shipping
In this role, you may also operate equipment such as a tier-lift truck or hand truck to move shipments and provide guidance to others in shipping and receiving tasks.
