Real Fuel 805 is a dynamic Sports Performance Catering Company seeking individuals with flexible schedules to join our vibrant team! As we gear up for a busy August, candidates should be prepared for variable hours—some weeks may require up to 40 hours, while others may be around 20 hours. Our events span the entire week, from Sunday to Saturday, so availability throughout the week is essential. We are seeking team members with experience in handling catering orders for groups ranging from 10 to 200 people. Cook - Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
- Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and efficient operation.
- Monitor food supplies and ingredients, reporting any shortages to management.
- Maintain equipment and kitchen tools in good working condition.
- Delivery to Cal Poly or Surrounding Hotels in your Vehicle until Company SUV is purchased
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a cook in a restaurant or catering environment.
- Knowledge of cooking techniques, methods, and equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for culinary excellence.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Prep Cook/ Packager/ Dishwasher/ Kitchen Clean Up - Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, chopping, and measuring items according to recipes.
- Help assemble and organize dishes for service, ensuring all components are ready for final cooking or serving.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines while handling food and kitchen equipment.
- Package prepared food items for delivery or distribution, ensuring proper portion sizes and presentation.
- Label packages accurately with relevant information, including ingredients and storage instructions.
- Ensure that all packaged items are handled and stored according to safety and quality standards.
- Operate dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, utensils, pots, and pans efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness in the dishwashing area and ensure all kitchen items are sanitized and well-organized.
- Assist in keeping dishwashing supplies stocked and ready for use.
- Clean kitchen surfaces, tools, and equipment regularly to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.
- Dispose of waste and recycling responsibly, following company protocols for environmental compliance.
- Assist in maintaining the overall organization and cleanliness of the kitchen and storage areas.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
