Bread Bike is hiring for a part-time dishwasher for 2-3 days of the week. The ideal candidate can work Tuesday and Thursday from 1pm - 5:30pm. If necessary the shift can start as early as 11am and go to 3:30pm. A Wednesday shift can be made available if desired. Additional shifts will become available after November 27th.
We are a diverse team of 25 whom bake and serve thousands of breads and pastries every week to supply our brick and mortar shop, grocery stores, wineries, cafes, and farmers markets in SLO County. Responsibilities Include:
● Washing, rinsing, and sanitizing all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment by hand
● Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area, including disposing of
trash and recycling properly
● Drying and storing all cleaned dishes
● Ensuring the efficient flow of dishes and equipment during busy period.
● Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including cleaning dish floor
mat, wiping down all walls and countertops in dish area, and sweeping and mopping
floors
● Following proper sanitation and safety guidelines to ensure food safety standards are
met
● Reporting any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the production manager
or owners
● Punctuality, reliability, and flexibility in scheduling, including holidays
Requirements:
● Comfortable standing for extended periods
● Ability to comfortably lift and carry up to 50 pounds
● Abide by all guidelines and instructions in the General Employee Handbook
● Possess an up-to-date Certified California Food Handler’s Card within 30 days of hire
Expectations:
● Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with other bakery
staff.
● Work quickly and safely throughout your entire shift.
● Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required by bakery
production schedules.
